A Day for Papa

I have missed 4 big events within this 3 months, which are Mother's Day and 2 of my sisters' birthday and my dad's birthday(9 days ago).
And today, I'm gonna miss Father's Day. I couldn't celebrate with them. The simple reason is that I'm at the East, Miri(113.9833, 4.3833) studying while they are at the West, Kuala Lumpur(101.7000, 3.1667), distance between is 1368.55km.

Anyhow, Happy Father's Day!

Price of fuel strikes again in Malaysia

The government of Malaysia has announced that the government will no longer subsidise petrol and diesel to the country. This will eventually lead the price of petrol to increase. First time in history, price of petrol has increased RM0.78 per litter which is from RM1.92(West Malaysia)/RM1.91(East Malaysia) to RM2.70 whereas price of diesel has increased RM1.00 per litter. This is way to insane!

These are the scenes that happened yesterday every corner in Malaysia, especially in the city. I'm also one of the victims which has trapped in the traffic conjunction for 2 HOURS! What I saw yesterday in Miri is worse than pictures below, what about Kuala Lumpur?

Think twice before you wanna start your car's engine because the prices are almost doubled the previous prices. Based from the news recently, the amount of fuel will extinct at the year of 2013. Anyhow, just don't worry, there are plenty of reserved ground fuels around the globe.

Gawai Festival

Once a year Sarawakians(Iban, Kayan, Bidayuh et al.) will celebrate this harvest festival, Happy Gawai!

I'm gonna heat up the atmosphere since my uncle is Iban.
Sad to say that I didn't have the chance to visit any of the longhouses for this celebration.
But it's alright because I'll be in Miri for the next four Gawai celebrations.
I'll grab the opportunity somehow and someday.

Shooting Star

27th April, 8.20pm, Miri(Sarawak) - First time in my history, I saw a moving diamond at the dark upper atmosphere, which known as a shooting star, or should I say it's a dead star. Unbelievable. It's small among other stars and with no tail. Of course, a wish has been made, but I couldn't get a picture of it.
